AIESEC Careers Day Organizing Committee Positions

Hello AIESEC Calgary!

AIESEC Careers Day (CADA) 2007, the annual event you've all been waiting for, is now recruiting for Organizing Committee positions:

VP Internal Marketing- Creating awareness of CADA within the university, including advertising to students to get them to come out and working with Career Services/ Career Centre

VP Corporate Relations- Company servicing, including advertising to companies and get them to register for the event, keeping in touch with registered companies for updates and follow-up

VP Logistics- Reserving venues, booking decorative/catering services, shipping, etc.

New Version of Blogger

Hey Guys, long time....

Alberta Saskatchewan Seminar!!!

It's not long now, the much-talked-about Alberta / Saskatchewan Seminar is right around the corner! Don't miss out!!! Join us as AIESEC Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, and maybe even Manitoba get together for 3 days of learning, bonding, and fun! ASS is a conference for both new and experienced members. Co-Chairs, Jill Oilver and Andy Tse (AIESEC Saskatoon alumni) will lead delegates through various stages of the AIESEC Experience.

To increase the importance of this once "social seminar", LCP's of Saskatoon, Calgary, and Edmonton have worked to provide meaningful sessions for all members. For those who are just joining AIESEC and completed Common Induction, simulation and goal setting exercises will prepare you to take responsibility in your home Local Committees. Experienced members will be able to network with other EB's and share & compare year plans for the coming term. A leadership development session led by the University of Saskatchewan will be open to all members to help prepare for the future.

Soft-Skill Session

"Proper Communication Soft-Skill Session"

What: Have you ever wondered about how to behave at business meetings? Or even informal meetings? Come to AIESEC's soft-skill session on proper communication. We will be talking about body language, eye contact, as well as some other aspects.

Speaker: Angie Hung, our alumnus currently working as a Project Analyst in the Corporate Solution Delivery division at ATB. She will draw on her experience working in the corporate world as well as participating in creative dance productions to teach us some tricks of the business.

Who: You and your friends! The more the merrier!
When: Wednesday, February 7th at 6:00 p.m.
Length: 1 hour for presentation and time for questions

Last EnCana-NGO Arrival!!

Finally, Mark Kliveink from the Netherlands will be arriving next Wednesday to work for the remaining EnCana NGO, the SHARP Foundation!!

Mark is 22 years old. He received a Masters in Logistics and Operations Management at Tilberg University. And sorry ladies, he's taken hehe.

Favourite acitivities: tennis, mountainbiking, hanging out with friends, poker and games, riding on his Kawasaki ZXR 400 motorcycle.

Interesting fact: Mark and friends build a float each year to participate in a parade during carnaval, a tradition in his region (Check http://www.roarmarwoar.nl/ )

In his own words: Hopefully I meet a lot of other nice interns and local people, to have a great time together....I would like to explore Calgary!....I will love the skiing possibilities, since I love to snowboard.
